While brainstorming an elegant evening bag, I found some 3" snap frames and thought about making a purse from one. Despite the small opening, gathers provide a bigger body on the bag. One of my favorite materials for purse handles is a delicate, small diameter chain I buy by the yard at a hardware store. It is durable and provides a textural comparison to delicate fabrics.
